These watercolour paintings depict shells, rocks, and sprigs of foliage, sometimes arranged with vintage ornaments. Sue made the paints from crushed natural pigments in ways that have traditionally been used, hence they lack the usual dazzling hues of felt-tip pens colours, and, instead, share more subtle tones. The background spots have used similar colourings to the natural objects. It is a more delicate fabric design with each cluster of objects measuring between 1.8 to 3 cm in length. This was painted in January, for that is when the backyard black-skinned plums arrive! Design printed on high quality fabric, please pick your fabric base in the drop-down menu below.
